Well you did it! Today is the first day of 2013 and you're alive and well enough to read our fabulous blog.
Once you've picked yourself up from the floor, untangled that cork from your hair, you need to get down to the most important part of today...(drum roll)...What will your New Year Resolutions be?!
The top ten most made resolutions are:
1. Spend Time with Family and Friends
2. Get Fit
3. Loose Weight
4. Quit Smoking
5. Enjoy Life More
6. Quit Drinking
7. Get out of Debt
8. Learn Something New
9. Help Others
10. Get Organised
How many of these did you actually get done on your 'I Did' list you wrote yesterday? http://whats-your-tale-nightingale.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/looking-back.html
We are going to say we did number 5, number 8, and number 10 but even that might be a bit flakey.
After our little look back yesterday we have decided to see each of our lovely lists in a new light. They won't be a set of strict rules that we will inevitably break and feel rubbish when we look back on but more of moral guidance of how our life should be going in 2013. Yeah, it would be great to get fit and loose that extra wobble but if missing the gym means we get to spend some more time with our little monsters or get to go on a great adventure then its worth skipping. We doubt we will look back and regret those things.
Also there should be a resolution that is pure bonkers, just to keep you smiling. Life doesn't always have to be serious.
With all that in mind, here is our New Years Resolution list for Nightingales:
1. Be more organised, it makes life easier
2. Take every opportunity going, you never know where they lead
3. Learn to use our lovely overlocker we bought last year
4. Make more time to talk to squirrels
A nice list don't you think :)
